About the Role
Join the prestigious Anantara Hotels & Resorts at the Qasr Al Sarab Desert Resort in Abu Dhabi. As a luxury hotel and resort brand rooted in Thai culture, Anantara offers authentic hospitality and a career that leaves a lasting impact. We are seeking a dedicated Pool Technician to ensure the maintenance and optimal operation of our resort's pools and water features.
Core Responsibilities
- Maintain excellent orientation within the engineering area.
- Keep the swimming pool and water fountain systems in top condition at all times.
- Implement a thorough preventive maintenance schedule for related equipment and machinery.
- Add pool chemicals according to instructions from the Pool Supervisor.
- Conduct daily analysis of pool water parameters and accurately log results for Supervisor review.
- Handle maintenance of swimming pool interior lighting and perform minor electrical repairs on pump stations.
- Provide timely updates regarding preventive maintenance to the Pool Supervisor.
- Follow all safety protocols in handling chemical products.
- Lead and guide the onsite Pool Attendants to ensure efficient daily pool upkeep.
- Maintain health and hygiene standards of the swimming pool consistently.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in work areas and pump stations, including personal and environmental safety, as well as the safety of Pool Attendants.
- Maintain positive work relationships with the pool team to accommodate guest needs during off-hours.
- Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Pool Supervisor.
- Respond to maintenance requests and repair calls related to pools and water features.
- Troubleshoot faults and breakdowns in equipment or plant rooms promptly.
- Maintain underwater and outdoor lighting for pools and water features.
- Record parts used during repairs and notify the Maintenance Officer to replenish inventory.
- Inspect and test fire detection systems regularly to ensure functionality.
Qualifications & Skills
- High School diploma required.
- At least one year of experience in a similar role is mandatory.
- Prior experience in a luxury hotel environment is essential.
- Demonstrated passion for delivering exceptional service.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Good command of English.
- Ability to perform well under pressure and collaboratively as part of a team.
