Job Summary
The Planner will deliver specialist scheduling expertise for projects by creating comprehensive schedules and resource plans to guarantee timely completion. This role requires working closely with various teams to manage risks, monitor progress, and generate reliable reports to promote project achievement.
Key Responsibilities
- Construct and update detailed project schedules using tools like Primavera P6 or Microsoft Project for precise timeline tracking.
- Develop tender schedules and resource allocation plans that are both competitive and practical.
- Maintain the master schedule and oversee enterprise-wide reporting.
- Conduct critical path and float analyses to highlight scheduling risks and aid prompt project delivery.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to delineate work breakdown structures, key milestones, and deadlines aligned with project objectives.
- Ensure schedules are consistent with overall project goals and deadlines.
- Coordinate with project teams to reflect resource allocations accurately in schedules.
- Work alongside Engineering, Procurement, and Construction departments to align material and equipment deliveries with project timelines.
- Identify scheduling risks early and formulate mitigation plans to reduce project delays.
- Document all project activities, including changes and decisions, maintaining detailed records of milestones and schedule updates.
- Provide precise schedule forecasts to support project management decisions.
- Draft clear schedule summaries highlighting project status and progress.
- Adhere to company scheduling SOPs and uphold quality assurance for project schedules.
- Examine technical data and consolidate insights for planning and policy materials at local and regional scales.
- Effectively communicate findings through oral, written, and visual means.
- Engage with Project Managers to review project progress and promptly address issues.
- Monitor project job completion ensuring they meet timeline and budget requirements.
- Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports covering progress metrics, S-Curve updates, productivity statistics, and variance evaluations.
- Ensure reports accurately represent project performance, detect deviations, and offer actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Schedule shifts as per Engineering and Construction needs.
- Track workforce and resource productivity during execution to maximize efficiency.
- Collect and manage manpower data, equipment, and raw materials aligning with production demands.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Ideally 3 years of relevant experience in the Petrochemical, Oil and Gas sector, with at least 2 years dedicated to planning/scheduling; however, candidates without prior experience but eager to learn are encouraged to apply.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 software, including resource loading and progress reporting functionalities.
- Hands-on construction experience is considered a plus.
- Willingness to work onsite at project locations.
- Preference for candidates who are Singapore citizens.
