Payroll Specialist

Role overview

This contract payroll role is focused on handling garnishment-related payroll activities in SAP for an onsite team based in Lakeland, Florida. The position requires someone who can work from the office up to two days each week and live within commuting distance of Lakeland, Mulberry, Bartow, or Plant City, specifically no more than 15 miles from the Lakeland office.

Core responsibilities

• Set up garnishments and child support deductions accurately within payroll processes and manage the related payment activity.
• Respond promptly and correctly to questions and correspondence from employees and external agencies or jurisdictions.
• Support payroll operations with attention to detail while maintaining accuracy in court-ordered deductions and related documentation.

Experience and skill requirements

• Hands-on SAP experience is required.
• Previous experience processing and setting up garnishments and other court-ordered documents is required.
• The role calls for strong attention to detail.
• Candidates should be comfortable with analytical work and problem solving.

Work schedule

The standard schedule starts as four 10-hour days from Monday through Thursday. After the initial training period, an alternative schedule may be possible.

The candidate must be willing to work onsite in the office up to two days per week. Preferred nearby locations include Lakeland, Mulberry, Bartow, and Plant City, with a maximum commuting distance of 15 miles from the Lakeland office.
