Role Responsibilities
- Manage comprehensive monthly payroll operations across multiple EMEA countries, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and timely processing in line with local tax, statutory, and social security regulations.
- Serve as the primary liaison for internal teams and external payroll service providers to guarantee seamless and high-quality payroll processing across various countries including France, Austria, the UK, Ireland, and Armenia.
- Offer expert advice on payroll matters, guaranteeing adherence to country-specific legal requirements, internal guidelines, and audit standards.
- Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies, escalating complex cases appropriately and implementing lasting solutions.
- Continuously seek and implement enhancements in payroll processes aimed at boosting efficiency, precision, and service excellence while maintaining robust payroll documentation suitable for audits.
- Evaluate payroll workflows and systems; propose and support initiatives for process improvements and scalable implementations.
- Contribute to payroll projects including transitions, system upgrades, and ongoing improvements.
- Collaborate with HR, Finance, and People Operations departments to support cross-functional projects and help shape global payroll practices.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Finance, or allied fields, or vocational training supplemented by further education in payroll or HR.
- At least 3 years of extensive payroll experience, preferably with multi-country payroll exposure within the EMEA region.
- Proficiency in payroll systems and advanced Excel skills; familiarity with ADP software is advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of payroll operations including statutory, tax, and social security regulations across different countries.
- Excellent organizational abilities with capacity to manage multiple payrolls and meet strict deadlines.
- Analytical mindset coupled with effective problem-solving and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Adaptability and resilience to navigate changing payroll demands across the EMEA.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of German and other European languages is beneficial.
