Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Palantir Developer, you will lead and mentor your engineering team in adopting software development best practices, designing strong system architectures, and producing clean, maintainable code. Close collaboration with product managers and stakeholders is essential to convert business needs into scalable and innovative technical solutions. You will oversee the entire software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, architectural design, development, testing, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Participating actively in architectural discussions and technology evaluations will help shape the future technical direction of Palantir's products. Additionally, fostering a cooperative team environment that encourages continuous learning and knowledge exchange is a key part of this role.

Technical Skills and Expertise

Applicants must be proficient in developing large-scale, distributed software systems with sound knowledge of system design principles and patterns. You should be skilled in several programming languages such as Python, Java, C++, or Scala, and familiar with contemporary web frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js. A solid foundation in data engineering is required, including expertise in data modeling, building data pipelines, and using big data tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and Kafka. Experience with both relational and NoSQL databases as well as cloud storage platforms (AWS S3, Google Cloud Storage, Azure Blob Storage) is expected. Knowledge of containerization and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes, along with CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code workflows, is necessary. Familiarity with agile development frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, Lean), version control systems like Git, code reviews, collaborative coding, and software security practices must be demonstrated. You should also possess strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and effective communication proficiency to work across diverse teams.
