Role Overview

The O&M Technician will join Renvolt's expanding operations and maintenance team in Ireland to support the Ballymoneen 139MW Solar Power Plant. The role demands residence near the Galway area to ensure swift onsite response and effective support. Reporting directly to the O&M Site Manager, the technician will contribute to efficient operation and maintenance activities to uphold and enhance plant performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver prompt onsite and remote troubleshooting to diagnose faults and restore production swiftly.
• Execute specialized technical maintenance tasks on-site as required.
• Engage in integrated commissioning and start-up procedures.
• Conduct technical evaluations and produce reports to facilitate claiming processes.
• Lead training sessions and workshops to strengthen maintenance competencies among team members.
• Support development and refinement of maintenance management systems and processes.
• Prepare detailed technical documentation to underpin maintenance work.
• Advocate for and study improvements in maintenance methods and tools to boost efficiency.
• Promote adherence to best practices and standards in maintenance.
• Assist reliability studies and failure analyses to inform maintenance planning.
• Contribute to monitoring and auditing of maintenance processes and activities to ensure compliance.

Qualifications & Experience

• Electrical qualification is essential.
• Experience commissioning and maintaining photovoltaic power plants is preferred.
• Proficient in fault detection and troubleshooting within electronics and automation systems.
• Knowledgeable in maintenance management standards and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Familiarity with SCADA and remote-control systems.
• Experience with data acquisition and communications systems preferred.
• Advanced skills in MS Office and reporting software.
• Fluent English skills in reading, writing, and speaking are mandatory.
• Capable of performing physical site work.
• Possession of a valid Irish driver's license is required.
