Role Overview
This permanent, on-location position for an Operations Controller is based in Singapore. The role is responsible for the oversight of day-to-day rail service operations, ensuring smooth performance monitoring and strict compliance with service schedules, safety protocols, and operational guidelines. Key duties include coordination with control room personnel, maintenance teams, and station staff to efficiently address incidents, reduce service interruptions, and manage recovery processes. Additional tasks involve analyzing operational metrics, generating performance reports, and assisting in planning activities aimed at enhancing system efficiency and reliability. The role requires participation in shift work, effective communication of operational directives, and alignment with regulatory standards and internal compliance policies.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Strong analytical capability to interpret operational data, recognize patterns, and facilitate informed decisions.
- Expertise in operations management for overseeing daily service delivery, incident handling, and process optimization.
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies.
- Relevant professional background in rail transport or other complex operational contexts.
- Ability to perform under pressure within a shift-based control room setting, making prompt, reasoned decisions.
