Role Overview
The Onboarding Coordinator position focuses on providing administrative and organizational support to ensure smooth onboarding and ongoing integration of new hires. This role works closely with firm administration, office, and practice leaders to facilitate successful transitions and promote employee retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement personalized integration processes for new employees by managing milestone check-ins and relevant materials.
- Assist in creating customized integration plans after reviewing recruiting information, understanding strategic objectives, identifying internal contacts, and aligning stakeholders.
- Prepare and coordinate pre-arrival activities including meetings, calls, notes, summaries, and follow-ups with partners and internal teams.
- Organize onboarding events such as introductions and office visits while maintaining checklists, workflows, and recruiting documentation.
- Support the development and management of integration programs, coordinating timelines, action items, and progress check-ins.
- Proactively anticipate next steps, monitor integration initiatives, and ensure timely execution.
- Manage and update databases, dashboards, and tracking tools to monitor onboarding status and outcomes.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather data and prepare reports on integration progress, retention rates, engagement, and business development for leadership review.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least two years of experience preferred, with backgrounds in hospitality, event management, or project management highly valued.
- Proficiency with webinar technology, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and internet research skills.
- Experience with CRM software such as InterAction is advantageous.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of professional interaction across all organizational levels and external vendors.
- Ability to thrive in a diverse team setting and handle demanding organizational needs.
- Self-motivated, with excellent initiative and customer service skills, anticipating stakeholder needs effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities to manage multiple concurrent projects.
- Maintains confidentiality and exercises sound discretion.
- Demonstrates strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Adaptable and responsive to fluctuating demands with the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Additional Information
The hourly salary for this role in Columbus, OH ranges from $23.32 to $34.09, with starting pay determined by education, qualifications, experience, and other factors. Compensation packages may also include overtime, shift differentials, call-in, and stand-by pay.
