Job Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-focused Finance and Accounts Officer to handle daily financial tasks, ensure adherence to statutory requirements, and facilitate informed financial decisions. This position demands maintaining accurate accounting records, preparing financial documents, managing taxation, and complying with regulatory frameworks. The candidate should be capable of independent work alongside collaborative engagement with internal teams.
Core Duties
- Keep comprehensive and timely financial books using accounting software.
- Record daily financial transactions, prepare journal entries, ledgers, and trial balances, and properly file documentation.
- Handle accounts payable by processing vendor invoices, ensuring prompt supplier payments, reconciling statements, and maintaining records.
- Manage accounts receivable by generating invoices, tracking payments, following up on dues, and managing aging reports.
- Conduct monthly bank and ledger reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and maintain accurate ledger balances.
- Prepare and submit GST returns such as GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B; manage TDS calculations and filings; ensure compliance with income tax regulations; coordinate with tax consultants and auditors; stay updated on taxation laws.
- Assist with payroll processing including salary management and applying statutory deductions such as PF, ESI, and PT; maintain employee payroll records.
- Compile financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually; generate MIS reports; assist in budgeting and forecasting; analyze financial data to provide actionable insights.
- Support internal and external audits; enforce compliance with accounting policies and establish internal controls to protect company assets.
- Oversee cost control measures by monitoring expenses and identifying saving opportunities; aid in budget preparation and monitoring.
- Coordinate with various departments for financial input; liaise with banks, auditors, and government bodies; address financial inquiries from management.
Additional Details
Compensation for this role ranges between 21000 and 25000 INR monthly.
