Role Overview
As a Training Specialist for Central Clinical Operations, you will construct and oversee a scalable, network-spanning clinical research training and onboarding system at Adams Clinical. You will ensure that all staff acquire essential knowledge, resources, and proven competencies to conduct clinical research compliantly and excellently throughout the network.
Key Duties
- Design and develop Learning Management System (LMS) training modules to standardize onboarding across all sites.
- Create tools to assess training effectiveness and staff comprehension, enabling role-specific readiness and continuous development.
- Produce clear training resources such as SOPs, checklists, guides, and videos.
- Lead implementation and content creation for new training and operational platforms including Monday.com and Trainual.
- Establish tracking systems for training completion, competency achievements, and ongoing education needs.
- Develop standardized onboarding resources like trackers, training pathways, competency checklists, and developmental plans for employee integration.
- Regularly evaluate and improve onboarding procedures using feedback, performance data, and operational requirements.
- Analyze site-specific onboarding and workflows to establish consistent network-wide onboarding frameworks that ensure operational readiness.
- Coordinate training schedules and execution in partnership with Site Managers, ensuring effective implementation and follow-through.
- Deliver group retraining sessions onsite as needed, traveling to various Adams Clinical locations.
- Collaborate with site leadership to designate training ownership while maintaining uniform standards and expectations.
- Work cross-functionally with department heads to identify gaps, ensure training adherence, and maintain staff competencies network-wide.
- Align training strategies with broader clinical operations objectives under the guidance of senior leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree is required.
- At least two years of experience as a Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) in industry-sponsored trials.
- Prior participation in onboarding or training clinical research personnel within site or clinical research settings.
- Fundamental knowledge of clinical trial regulations such as FDA, GCP, informed consent, and SUSAR reporting.
- Flexibility to travel approximately 25-40% to Adams Clinical sites (Boston, Watertown, Bronx, Harlem, Philadelphia, Dallas).
- Preference for candidates residing on the East Coast near network sites.
- Self-driven with ability to independently handle curriculum creation, content development, and documentation.
- Strong written/verbal communication and attention to detail.
- Proficient presentation, facilitation, and public speaking skills for both individual and group training.
- Aptitude for learning new technology platforms on one’s own.
- Comfort working across diverse stakeholder groups to ascertain training needs and deliver solutions.
- Experience with LMS platforms and training curriculum development is advantageous.
- Familiarity with project management or process automation tools is desirable.
- Background in training, instructional design, education, or HR is a plus.
- Exposure to training or onboarding in expanding or multi-site organizations is preferable.
Compensation & Benefits
Annual salary ranges from $70,000 to $90,000.
