About the role
Join Kuehne+Nagel in a sales position that is focused on long-term commercial growth, stronger customer partnerships, and uncovering new business opportunities. The work also supports veterinary supply chains that help pet owners around the world access the care their animals need. This role is based in Banyo, Queensland, and is also open to candidates in Sydney and Melbourne.
What you will do
- Take ownership of sales activity for your assigned customers, including preparing quotations, qualifying prospects, and moving opportunities through the sales funnel to secure profitable and sustainable business.
- Work closely with the National Sales and Marketing Manager, pricing specialists, and business development colleagues to align on sales strategy and pricing decisions.
- Track market competition by collecting up-to-date information on pricing and product offerings.
- Share customer feedback with customer service teams and help support issue resolution where needed.
- Coordinate with internal colleagues to ensure smooth onboarding of new customers.
- Keep customer records current and accurate in internal systems.
- Review customer portfolios regularly with the National Sales and Marketing Manager.
- Strengthen customer engagement, satisfaction, retention, and reactivation by delivering high service quality in collaboration with other teams.
What you bring
- A demonstrated history of meeting sales targets and delivering revenue growth.
- A solid grasp of logistics operations, including warehousing, transport, and distribution.
- The ability to study market movements and shape long-term business plans.
- Experience in commercial negotiations and in preparing strong business proposals.
- Capacity to manage a substantial sales pipeline and progress opportunities through the full customer lifecycle.
- Strong relationship-building skills with both internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Comfort working across global, regional, and country-level teams.
- Excellent communication skills, including public speaking, negotiation, and professional writing.
- Confidence presenting to senior leaders and clients.
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms, analytics tools, and Microsoft Office.
- A self-driven, strategic mindset with a proactive approach to growing business.
- Excellent time management and the ability to work independently.
