Role Overview
The MEP Lead will oversee Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) services throughout large-scale, high-value real estate projects, including commercial, residential, retail, and IT parks. This role demands a combination of deep technical expertise and superior project management to ensure successful delivery from concept stage to commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of MEP services: design, procurement, site work, testing, commissioning, and project closure for HT/LT electrical installations, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, security, and access control systems.
- Prepare, implement, and track detailed schedules to efficiently allocate resources and time on extensive building and township projects.
- Facilitate coordination among consultants, contractors, vendors, and agencies to guarantee timely and smooth execution of MEP tasks.
- Supervise quality assurance processes aligned with industry standards and company protocols while managing cost and schedule targets effectively.
- Lead value engineering practices and optimize resource use to enhance project profitability.
- Continuously monitor project milestones, forecast risks, and employ corrective measures proactively.
- Handle project budgets with strong financial acumen to control expenditures and manage funding.
- Promote a safe, compliant working environment adhering to regulatory and safety standards throughout MEP operations.
Candidate Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering from a recognized institution.
- 12 to 20 years of demonstrated experience managing MEP services in sizeable real estate ventures encompassing commercial, residential, retail, and IT park projects.
- Well-rounded technical knowledge covering all MEP disciplines from design to commissioning phases.
- Practical expertise in coordinating design, procurement, and onsite execution of electrical (HT/LT), HVAC, plumbing, fire safety, security, and access control systems.
- Proven ability in project planning, scheduling, and hands-on management.
- Strong leadership qualities with effective stakeholder engagement and team management skills.
- Adeptness in financial management relating to budgeting and cost containment.
- Preferred: experience in MEP design review, value engineering, using project management software, and juggling multiple projects with organizational efficiency.
- Superior communication, negotiation, and problem-solving capabilities.
Work Experience
Ideal candidates will possess between 18 and 20 years of relevant professional experience.
