Role Overview
The MEP BIM Modeler will be responsible for creating, updating, and managing detailed Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) models using advanced Building Information Modeling tools for various construction and design projects. Key daily duties include analyzing architectural and construction plans, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring model precision and compliance with project standards, and generating clash detection reports along with other model-based documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain accurate MEP BIM models aligned with project requirements.
- Interpret architectural and construction drawings to inform model updates.
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and contractors to support design integration and resolve technical challenges within the BIM framework.
- Prepare clash detection analyses and provide detailed coordination reports.
- Ensure adherence to project standards in all BIM-related activities.
Requirements
- At least five years of practical experience in MEP BIM modeling.
- Proven expertise in building and construction projects involving MEP systems.
- Strong understanding of MEP services and system coordination with architectural and structural disciplines.
- Experience creating and updating BIM models and MEP shop drawings.
- Familiarity with clash detection processes and BIM coordination methodologies.
- Proficiency in BIM software such as Revit MEP and Navisworks.
- Ability to collaborate efficiently with project teams, including engineering and site personnel.
Additional Information
