Position Overview
Join Walmart Canada as a Meat Associate to enhance your skills in a busy retail setting. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service guided by Walmart's core values, maintaining a clean and well-arranged meat department, supporting sales efforts, and contributing to a welcoming shopping atmosphere.
Key Duties
- Maintain department cleanliness, organization, and proper product zoning for customer readiness at all times.
- Regularly rotate stock and dispose of expired or unsellable goods.
- Ensure all products are accurately priced and labeled following established store procedures.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and cold chain protocols, including temperature control and handling standards.
- Prepare and serve deli products by safely operating slicers, rotisserie ovens, and deep fryers to fulfill customer orders and stock display cases.
- Follow health and safety standards to provide a safe, clean, and hygienic workplace.
- Be willing to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays to meet operational needs.
Challenges in the Role
- Manage a high volume of tasks efficiently within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Effectively plan and maintain energy levels, especially during overnight shifts.
- Complete large restocking and recovery tasks accurately and promptly.
- Handle physical demands including standing for long periods, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Perform repetitive stocking and organizing tasks while maintaining attention to detail and store standards.

Compensation
The starting pay rate for this position is $17.20 per hour.
