About the Role
We are seeking an experienced team leader to supervise a group of 6 to 10 manufacturing operators at our facility in Fermoy, County Cork, Ireland. Candidates with current or prior experience in team leadership and manufacturing operations will receive comprehensive training on our specific manufacturing processes and ISO13485 regulatory standards.
Compensation and Work Schedule
- Base salary of €40,000 annually with full benefits
- Additional attractive premium incentives
- Work schedule averages 39 hours per week following a 12-hour rotating shift system (7 AM to 7 PM)
- Shift pattern consists of 4 consecutive day shifts, followed by 4 days off, then 4 consecutive night shifts, and another 4 days off, repeating continuously to maintain 24/7 production coverage

Our Fermoy location is FDA-registered and ISO13485:2016 certified, specializing in the production of high-quality printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs), subassemblies, and complete devices, including Class III medical devices. The site emphasizes manufacturing automation and supports the entire product lifecycle from new product introduction and prototyping through process validation, volume manufacturing, testing, shipping, and repair. Objectives and Responsibilities
The Manufacturing Team Lead is accountable for ensuring quality and productivity within their section by overseeing assembly, testing, and handling of products according to documented specifications. This role supports meeting production targets aligned with supervisors' plans and contributes to customer satisfaction by facilitating seamless teamwork.
Key Duties
- Lead the manufacturing team to consistently meet or exceed hourly and daily output quotas, ensuring continuous productivity throughout the shift
- Uphold stringent quality standards in line with ISO13485, promptly addressing any non-conformities through operator coaching
- Oversee new employee onboarding and the buddy system to ensure complete training on work instructions and safety protocols
- Manage attendance, conduct regular performance reviews at 3, 6, and 12 months, and handle employee relations proactively and fairly
- Facilitate shift start meetings to communicate quality, safety, and production goals effectively
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives including scrap reduction and strict adherence to work instructions and processes
- Coordinate shift coverage, holiday scheduling, and payroll to ensure uninterrupted production operations
- Promote a strong safety culture by enforcing 100% personal protective equipment (PPE) use and workplace organization
- Provide early updates on shipment timelines to supervisors and work with HR on recruitment and disciplinary processes
- Monitor and report on key metrics such as absenteeism, training progress, and output performance
