Position Details
This full-time position is remunerated according to pay group 10 TV-L. The contract is fixed-term until April 12, 2027. The earliest start date is as soon as possible or by October 2026. Responsibilities
- Organize, lead, and ensure the comprehensive language program at the university, contributing to its continual improvement.
- Coordinate and supervise the DSH program (German language examination for university admission), including external offerings.
- Provide advisory and support services to teaching staff, DSH participants, and students in both German and English.
- Manage collaboration with other university units and serve as the administrative interface.
- Develop, track, and improve financial planning and conduct controlling activities for the Language Center.
- Independently handle the drafting and processing of contract agreements and teaching assignments, as well as support for affiliated instructors.
- Analyze and refine administrative processes, actively participating in digitization efforts and quality assurance measures.
Requirements
- A completed bachelor’s degree preferably in educational management, higher education management, business administration, administrative sciences, linguistics, cultural studies, or a comparable field.
- Excellent command of English; knowledge of additional foreign languages is advantageous.
- Experience in event organization and strong analytical capabilities.
- Initial experience in a university environment is desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with a structured, dependable, and service-oriented work ethic coupled with intercultural competence.
