Job description
Role Overview
As a Maintenance Technician based in Bradford and nearby areas, you will play a key role sustaining the functionality, safety, and welcoming appearance of Tesco stores. You will operate within a skilled team tasked with both planned and reactive maintenance across various systems and equipment, ensuring smooth daily operations and an optimal shopping environment for customers and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively coordinate repairs by liaising confidently with external contractors.
- Collaborate seamlessly with colleagues, emphasizing quality service delivery.
- Maintain high energy and multitasking ability while performing duties efficiently.
- Support management by upkeeping store equipment and facilities to ensure continuous operation.
- Minimize disturbances to customers during repair activities through thoughtful scheduling and communication.
- Execute day-to-day maintenance and general upkeep of store and property infrastructure.
- Utilize mobile devices such as phones and tablets to manage daily work schedules and communication.
- Uphold Tesco’s core values in every aspect of work, from customer service to community and sustainability efforts.
- Participate in local and national meetings, providing constructive feedback and suggestions.
- Contribute to fostering a diverse and inclusive work culture.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Relevant technical qualification such as ONC or equivalent.
- Valid full driving license.
- Strong awareness of Health & Safety regulations and practices.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency with Office 365 applications.
- Capability to complete technical training modules for continuous upskilling.
- Comfortable with digital tools for managing daily tasks including tablets and emails.
