Role overview
The AI and Machine Learning group plays a key role in the company’s product and data strategy. The team’s focus is to create a strong machine learning platform that turns data into business and customer value, supports wider adoption of data science, and helps scale machine learning across areas such as search, personalization, fraud detection, and catalog digitization.
Poshmark is hiring an experienced machine learning engineer in Chennai to help move models with different production needs into reliable deployment and ongoing operation.
What you will do
- Create tools and infrastructure that make machine learning easier to use across the organization.
- Partner with Data Science and Engineering teams to take ML models from development into production.
- Support existing platforms, keep them stable, and gradually evolve them toward newer architectures and technology stacks.
Experience and skills expected
- 2 to 3 years of relevant software engineering experience, especially with data-heavy applications.
- Strong grasp of data science ideas and the full machine learning lifecycle.
- Comfort with Spark and SQL, along with prior experience building backend APIs.
- Willingness to explore new technologies and adopt them when needed.
