Overview

This is a permanent full-time position based in Ashford, offering a salary of 28,009.47 per year (equivalent to 13.42 per hour). The role involves working 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with full personal protective equipment supplied. Employees should expect to walk approximately 6 to 10 miles daily.

About the Role

As a Loader with SUEZ Recycling and Recovery UK, you will play a key role in supporting an established company committed to reducing environmental impact through responsible waste and recycling management. Your main responsibility will include loading vehicles that collect municipal recycling and waste from households, maintaining high service standards, and ensuring safety and contractual compliance at all times.

Responsibilities

• Load waste and recycling materials onto collection vehicles efficiently and safely.
• Deliver excellent customer service during collections.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety protocols and contractual obligations.
• Support the team in achieving environmental sustainability goals.

Candidate Requirements

• Physically capable of performing demanding manual labor and walking long distances (6-10 miles per day).
• Reliable with good communication skills and team-oriented mindset.
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service.
• Previous experience in the waste industry or with waste vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory as training will be provided.
