Job Overview

The Landscaper contributes to maintaining both internal and external environments at Carnival Corporation's global destinations by ensuring they are inviting, clean, and safe. Responsibilities revolve around landscaping duties such as mowing, trimming, pruning, and irrigation upkeep in line with company standards and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Trim and prune trees and hedges to manage overgrowth.
• Apply necessary fertilizers and pesticides to maintain plant health.
• Remove weeds and dead plants to promote healthy vegetation.
• Plant various greenery, including trees, shrubs, flowers, and grass.
• Rake, clean, and maintain designated grounds and facilities.
• Assist with basic maintenance for grounds and beaches when required.
• Collect and dispose of waste from assigned areas.
• Help maintain landscaping sheds and equipment storage.
• Load and unload landscaping tools and equipment.
• Ensure all gardening tools (rakes, shovels, hoses, clippers) are well-maintained and properly stored.
• Uphold and promote a safe work environment by adhering to company safety policies and environmental guidelines.
• Complete work logs thoroughly and report any issues promptly.
• Carry out any other tasks as delegated by management.

Skills and Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of irrigation systems and proficient use of both hand and electrical landscaping tools.
• Minimum two years of experience in landscaping is required.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience; additional education in hospitality or related fields is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with good interpersonal abilities.
• Physically fit and capable of working outdoors, standing for extended periods.
• Ability to multitask, think critically, and solve problems effectively.
• Strong planning and organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.
• Flexibility to work in shift schedules as may be required at various destinations.
