Overview
An organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Laboratory Technician in Electrical Engineering for a 12-month renewable contract. The role is based in the United Arab Emirates and is intended for a professional who can support teaching and lab operations in an electrical engineering environment.
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience, with prior UAE experience being compulsory. A diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline, is required. The role also calls for hands-on experience in setting up laboratories, maintaining electrical lab equipment, carrying out calibration and troubleshooting, and following laboratory safety practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up laboratory arrangements for practical sessions and experiments.
- Assist faculty members and students during lab activities.
- Service, inspect, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair electrical laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Track laboratory stock and support procurement-related requests.
- Follow and enforce laboratory safety rules and operating procedures.
- Keep maintenance records, calibration logs, and other lab documentation up to date.
- Offer technical assistance for student projects, workshops, and departmental tasks.
