About the Role
Join PwC India's Investigations and Fact Finding team within the Fraud, Investigations and Regulatory Enforcement (FIRE) services. This role offers the chance to support clients in identifying vulnerabilities and formulating risk management strategies to tackle various business threats and challenges. The team specializes in detecting and investigating fraudulent activities, irregularities, whistleblower reports, asset misappropriation, regulatory breaches, intellectual property violations, and financial fraud.
Job Summary
The position is for a KYC Analyst with 3 to 6 years of experience, residing in Bangalore, full-time. Responsibilities focus on financial crime compliance through thorough client due diligence and verification to ensure regulatory adherence.
Responsibilities
- Execute client due diligence, collecting information such as identity proof, source of funds, and beneficial ownership for various entity types including banks, trusts, funds, and SPVs.
- Review client documents and data to confirm their completeness and accuracy.
- Assist with research via multiple databases and resources to validate client details.
- Assess client risk based on business nature, geographic factors, and other pertinent elements.
- Carry out sanction and adverse media screenings utilizing specialized tools and analyze outcomes to detect matches with sanctioned parties.
- Maintain comprehensive and precise client documentation including KYC profiles and monitoring records.
- Perform ongoing monitoring through periodic and event-driven client account reviews.
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve KYC-related concerns and interpret regulatory guidelines.
- Continuously enhance KYC procedures to improve efficiency and ensure stronger compliance controls.
- Keep abreast of the latest regulatory standards related to KYC, Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Countering Financing of Terrorism (CFT).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related domain.
- 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in KYC, AML compliance, or similar roles within the banking sector.
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations including Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), AML, and KYC policies.
- Strong analytical abilities to interpret complex financial data and identify risks.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills to present findings and recommendations clearly.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency with KYC-related software, databases, and compliance tools.
- Professional certifications like Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) are advantageous.
- Experience handling compliance in large banking or financial institutions is preferred.
- Familiarity with jurisdiction-specific regulatory requirements for banking.
