Job Overview and Responsibilities

As the Junior Sales Technician, you will serve as the primary technical liaison for Indian clients, focusing on routine maintenance, servicing, and first-level technical support in coordination with the European team. Your role includes managing spare parts, sourcing suppliers locally, and organizing outsourced service providers. You will also assist in establishing and managing a partner-operated service center in Chennai. Regular travel to customer locations primarily within Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, and Gujarat will be required, sometimes on short notice.

Key Duties

• Respond promptly to technical inquiries regarding product specifications and details.
• Oversee inventory and usage of spare parts and consumables for current clients.
• Identify and coordinate with local suppliers for components.
• Arrange and manage outsourced service visits, including scheduling, site access, and follow-up.
• Support the setup and ongoing coordination of a partner-managed service center based in Chennai.
• Conduct site visits as needed to address service calls and maintenance.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• ITI certification in mechanical, electrical, fitter trade, or equivalent disciplines.
• Adept at working within workshop environments while confidently engaging with customers.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively as part of job duties.
• Basic proficiency in written English suitable for reports and correspondence.
• Fluency in Tamil and conversational competency in Hindi.
