Junior Criminal Analyst

About the Role

Dynamis, Inc. is seeking a Junior Criminal Analyst to serve as a key contributor to one of Homeland Security Investigations' most critical enforcement missions focused on maintaining the integrity of the U.S. workforce. The analyst will be embedded with HSI special agents to conduct detailed reviews of I-9 employment documents, business records, and government databases essential for national and international worksite enforcement investigations.

This position demands a fast-paced, detail-oriented approach with work products impacting Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other enforcement actions authorized by courts. Dynamis provides hands-on mentorship from senior investigators and a clear career trajectory toward advanced compliance and investigative responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze employer I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification forms, payroll data, corporate filings, and related documents alongside investigators to identify compliance issues and potential breaches of federal immigration employment laws.
• Conduct cross-referencing through law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover irregularities and patterns that aid ongoing investigations.
• Compile well-founded case summaries, analytical reports, and findings that support worksite enforcement actions and withstand rigorous review.
• Assist with coordination efforts linking national and international investigative programs and partner agencies.
• Maintain organized case files adhering to DHS/ICE privacy and data protocols to ensure compliance with federal employment and worksite regulations.
• Prepare briefing materials and provide analytical support for site visits, enforcement operations, and senior management engagements.

Candidate Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related field.
• Between one and two years of relevant professional experience in areas such as compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or related disciplines.
• Strong analytical and research capabilities demonstrated by handling and synthesizing extensive documentation and data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary for producing detailed analytical documents and collaborating with federal law enforcement personnel.
• Proven ability to perform precise, high-volume data entry and execute database queries involving law enforcement or commercial systems to support detailed investigative reporting.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an ICE suitability determination.
• Must hold U.S. citizenship.

Preferred Experience

• Background working with federal law enforcement or regulatory bodies is highly valued.
• Familiarity with employment eligibility verification protocols including Form I-9 and E-Verify is advantageous.
• Experience with HSI, ICE, or other Department of Homeland Security components and handling sensitive law enforcement data is preferred.
• Knowledge of government database systems or investigative case management software is a plus.
