Burjline Builders is hiring a full-time IT Support Specialist to support its expanding team. This role is based in New York, NY and will serve as the main contact for technology-related issues. The selected candidate will help keep the company’s IT environment running smoothly by assisting employees with technical problems and supporting day-to-day productivity across the organization.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the first and second level of support for employees working both in person and remotely, covering issues with hardware, software, and network connectivity.
- Set up, install, and keep computer devices, operating systems, and business applications running properly.
- Oversee user access, account setup, permissions, and password administration across systems such as Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Monitor, prioritize, and close support requests quickly and professionally.
- Investigate system and network issues, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
- Track company IT assets, including equipment, software, and licensing.
- Support rollouts of new tools and assist with technology-related projects.
- Create and update documentation, process notes, and user-friendly guides for staff.
Requirements
- Prior hands-on experience in an IT support or helpdesk-style position.
- Good working knowledge of Windows and macOS environments.
- Experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365.
- Clear understanding of networking basics such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Strong diagnostic ability and the capacity to resolve technical issues efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively on your own as well as within a team.
- Professional training or certification such as CompTIA A+ or Microsoft Certified is preferred.
