Role Overview
This newly established position at Tradelink Ashmore is crucial to supporting the branch’s accelerated expansion. The Inventory Controller will be accountable for ensuring stock accuracy, managing purchasing activities, and generating inventory reports to facilitate smooth and efficient branch operations.
Key Duties
- Manage daily purchasing activities for trade and project orders to maintain steady stock flow and satisfy customer demands.
- Lead coordination of procurement for projects, ensuring delivery schedules are met.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and annual stocktakes to maintain precise inventory records.
- Optimize stock levels to prevent shortages and minimize surplus inventory costs.
- Prepare clear and concise reports to monitor inventory performance.
- Collaborate closely with the Branch Manager, suppliers, and internal teams to support operational needs.
- Ensure all inventory documentation is complete and compliance with company processes is maintained.
Candidate Profile
- Experience in inventory control, purchasing, or stock management is essential.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong numeracy and reporting capabilities.
- Proficient with computer systems and confident in data entry tasks.
- Ability to work independently for extended periods while also contributing effectively to a team environment.
- Proactive and willing to assist with various branch tasks as a hands-on team member.
- Dependable, responsible, and possesses a friendly and modest demeanor that aligns with company culture.
- Trade or plumbing wholesale industry experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Applicants must be Australian or New Zealand citizens or permanent residents holding full Australian work rights, as sponsorship is not available for this role.
