About the Role

The Accounting Team at Azurity Pharmaceuticals is looking for a Senior Specialist in Inventory Accounting to enhance finance processes and enable accurate decision-making. This position is based onsite at the Hyderabad office and requires a proactive individual who takes full responsibility for their function. The role involves collaborating closely with Commercial, Legal, and Accounting teams to facilitate seamless data flow from operations through to FP&A. When challenges arise, the candidate is expected to thoroughly investigate root causes and identify solutions.

Key Duties

  • Monitor and assess inventory transactions including stock movements, purchases, and usage.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records within the Financial System.
  • Validate inventory costs calculated by the system using standard accounting methodologies.
  • Examine cost discrepancies and report on variances.
  • Assist in establishing and overseeing standard costs for inventory items as required.
  • Prepare and review journal entries related to inventory.
  • Ensure inventory valuation complies with established accounting principles.
  • Produce inventory reports for management and auditor review.
  • Uphold adherence to corporate policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) or Cost and Works Accountant (CWA) with 4 to 6 years experience, or Commerce graduate/MBA with minimum 12 years of experience.
  • Previous experience in the pharmaceutical sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Preferred experience using Oracle Fusion financial systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and finance software.
  • Strong analytical capability with close attention to detail is essential.
