About the Role
We are looking for a skilled Internal Loss Adjuster to join our Property and Masterpiece claims team. This role focuses on managing high-end residential property claims with professionalism and detailed attention to customer experience. The ideal candidate will serve as a key contact for customers, brokers, service providers, and internal teams, ensuring claims are processed with fairness, expertise, and timeliness.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent the company during customer visits to collect necessary claim information.
- Assess damages and determine claim amounts accurately.
- Prepare formal reports that follow best practice and claim handling protocols.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with brokers to enhance trust in our claims services.
- Participate in Masterpiece market meetings and assist in training or presentations when needed.
- Coordinate with builders, jewellers, restoration firms, and other service providers.
- Spot and address potential fraud and subrogation issues.
- Support the wider Property claims team in handling various claims.
- Engage all relevant stakeholders to smoothen the claims process.
- Organize and manage your workload and schedule efficiently.
- Be prepared for domestic travel, including during emergency or catastrophe events.
- Consistently promote and demonstrate the company's claims value proposition.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Relevant tertiary qualification such as from ANZIIF or equivalent.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a loss adjuster.
- At least 2 years managing property claims specifically.
- Excellent customer service orientation.
- Ability to negotiate and influence effectively.
- Confidence interacting with diverse stakeholders including affluent clients and tradespeople.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, capable of compiling clear claim documentation.
- Good understanding of structural building concepts.
- Strong self-direction and time management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience
- Experience managing claims for high-net-worth individuals or high-value homes.
- Background in creating and delivering training materials.
