Internal Communications Manager

Role Overview

Merz Therapeutics is looking for an Internal Communications Manager for a 24-month fixed-term assignment to cover parental leave. In this role, you will shape and execute internal communication activities that support business goals, reinforce employee engagement, and create a consistent employee experience across the company.

Working with colleagues and stakeholders across the global organization, you will turn complex information into clear, compelling messages that keep employees informed, connected, and aligned with strategic priorities.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and roll out global internal communication programs that support business priorities.
• Work with leaders and stakeholders across the organization on internal communication, employee engagement, and change-related messaging.
• Prepare communication that helps employees understand the company’s strategy, culture, and business results.
• Develop leadership communications such as presentations, messages from leaders, town hall materials, and related content.
• Oversee global internal communication channels and editorial calendars.
• Support communication around organizational change, transformation programs, and important corporate initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal partners to ensure communication remains clear, consistent, and effective.
• Help drive employee engagement, cultural connection, and alignment across the organization.
• Track the impact of communication efforts and identify ways to improve based on employee feedback and insights.
• Make sure all communication follows company messaging, brand standards, and governance expectations.

Profile

The ideal candidate has a background in communications, journalism, public relations, marketing, business administration, or a similar discipline, along with prior experience in internal communications, corporate communications, or an equivalent role in an international organization.

You should bring strong writing and storytelling ability, plus the skill to simplify complex subjects into engaging and easy-to-understand communication. Experience in pharmaceuticals, biotech, medical devices, or healthcare is an added plus.

This role also requires strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills, the ability to juggle several priorities at once, and a collaborative, proactive, and solution-focused mindset. Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken, are essential.
