Job Overview
This position involves executing comprehensive quality assurance and control processes within railway maintenance and automation panel assembly projects. The incumbent is tasked with enforcing adherence to procedures, project and client requisites, as well as international standards, ensuring safe, reliable project delivery free from defects.
Key Duties
- Conduct quality inspections during various maintenance stages including preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities.
- Authenticate work orders, asset tags, and maintenance scopes prior to inspections.
- Confirm that all maintenance complies with authorized protocols and client criteria.
- Observe functional testing processes, equipment restorations, and final handovers.
- Document inspection findings, including conditions before and after work, measurements, and photographic evidence.
- Identify and report defects and any recurring quality problems to management.
- Inspect assembly of automation control panels for compliance with designs, materials, wiring standards, and industry norms.
- Support electrical testing phases including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
- Review technical documents such as Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), quality plans, and drawings prior to inspections.
- Verify calibration status of inspection and testing tools, and complete inspection documentation accurately and promptly.
- Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) as necessary and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
- Ensure all activities align with the Project Quality Plan, ISO 9001:2015, and client specifications.
- Engage in internal audits and drive ongoing quality improvements.
- Collaborate effectively with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Commissioning teams, and clients.
- Foster a culture emphasizing safety, quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Automation, or similar engineering fields.
- At least 3 years of experience in QA/QC roles related to Railway/Metro Maintenance, Electrical projects, Switchgear manufacturing, or Automation Panel Assembly.
Technical and Core Competencies
- Expertise in Railway Maintenance Quality Inspection procedures.
- Knowledge of PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFD), and Automation Systems.
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings and wiring schematics.
- Experience with FAT and SAT protocols.
- Proficient in preparing quality documentation and understanding ISO 9001:2015 and IEC standards.
- Strong analytical, documentation, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Detail-oriented with excellent time management and problem-solving abilities.
- High degree of professional integrity and accountability.
