Job description
Overview
We are seeking a qualified Industrial Electrician to join our client's team based in County Waterford, Ireland. This permanent role supports electrical works related to Irish Water under the Panel Inspection Framework with responsibilities including inspection, testing, maintenance, and minor upgrades of electrical panels and associated systems across various sites.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled inspections adhering to Irish Water standards and project specifications.
- Identify and resolve electrical faults, conducting minor repairs on control panels, motor control centers (MCCs), instrumentation, and related equipment.
- Ensure strict compliance with health and safety protocols, risk assessments, and company guidelines in all tasks.
- Generate detailed inspection reports and document findings after each site visit.
- Coordinate with on-site personnel and internal teams to manage site access, schedule, and project activities effectively.
- Support commissioning and decommissioning operations when necessary.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective gear in good condition.
Candidate Requirements
- Certification as an Electrician with valid Safe Electric registration.
- At least three years of experience working in industrial, utilities, or manufacturing settings.
- Experience in the water or wastewater industry is considered a strong advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of electrical schematics, control systems, MCCs, and electrical panel layouts.
- Possession of a full clean driving license and willingness to travel to different sites.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and reporting capabilities.
- Ability to work autonomously and within a collaborative team environment.
