About the Role
The Indirect Tax Senior Analyst at NIQ plays a critical role within the Global Finance Operations team, focusing on executing day-to-day indirect tax activities across multiple jurisdictions. This position ensures strict adherence to global indirect tax compliance and provisions, working closely with external consultants and tax authorities to maintain full regulatory compliance. Operating under the guidance of the Indirect Tax Manager, this role drives operational excellence and efficiency in the indirect tax function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage routine global indirect tax reporting activities, guaranteeing precise and punctual tax filings.
- Ensure all indirect tax processes align with local, regional, and international tax laws to minimize compliance risks.
- Coordinate effectively with outsourced service providers for global indirect tax filing delivery, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Establish and maintain clear service level agreements (SLAs) with internal teams to meet organizational standards for indirect tax operations.
- Identify opportunities for process enhancements within the indirect tax function to boost efficiency, accuracy, and compliance adherence.
- Continuously monitor updates and changes in indirect tax regulations to keep the organization's tax practices compliant and current.
- Collaborate closely with the Indirect Tax Manager and finance colleagues to support overall tax strategy implementation and compliance efforts.
Candidate Profile and Qualifications
- Possession of a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or a related discipline; professional tax or accounting certifications such as CA, CPA, or CMA are mandatory.
- A minimum of five years of experience specializing in indirect tax within a finance operations setting or a multinational corporation.
- In-depth understanding of indirect tax regulations and reporting obligations across diverse jurisdictions.
- Strong analytical aptitude with meticulous attention to detail enabling evaluation of intricate tax data and identification of compliance issues.
- Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written forms to effectively engage with team members, external providers, and stakeholders.
- Strong organizational capabilities, able to simultaneously handle multiple projects and priorities while meeting strict deadlines without sacrificing quality.
- Proficiency in relevant tax software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
Minimum education
Bachelor's Degree
