Role Overview
As a Service Technician, your role encompasses performing regular servicing, maintenance, and repairs on HVAC systems at various Auckland client sites. You will ensure all tasks are carried out safely, efficiently, and meeting high standards while acting as a professional representative of 1M.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute skilled HVAC installation, servicing, and repair duties
- Conduct routine maintenance and assist with plant modifications
- Identify faults and repair both mechanical and electronic components
- Respond promptly to breakdowns and diagnose system issues
- Prepare detailed service reports and maintain accurate work records
- Provide cost estimates for remedial work to service estimators
- Comply with health and safety regulations
- Engage in ongoing training and uphold necessary certifications
Candidate Profile
- Possess at least 4 years of experience in HVAC servicing and installation
- Hold a relevant NZ trade certificate in Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, or HVAC, or an equivalent qualification
- Possess Electrical Service Technician and refrigerant filler licenses
- Have a current and valid New Zealand driver's license
- Demonstrate strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
- Work well independently and manage pressure effectively
- Exhibit excellent communication skills
- Show a proactive, adaptable, and team-oriented mindset
