Position Overview
We seek a highly organized, proactive Human Resources Generalist to join our Houston corporate office on a full-time basis. This role combines recruiting, employee relations, payroll assistance, benefits administration, and compliance in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will provide key HR support to staff and leadership, ensuring an excellent employee experience and facilitating organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle end-to-end recruitment, from posting jobs to extending offers.
- Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing requirements and candidate qualifications.
- Screen candidates, coordinate interviews, and manage hiring procedures.
- Maintain recruitment records and applicant tracking systems.
- Support onboarding processes for new employees.
- Act as a contact for employee relations inquiries and workplace issues.
- Offer guidance to employees and managers on HR topics.
- Assist with performance management and foster employee engagement.
- Promote positive workplace culture and employee relations.
- Implement company policies and procedures.
- Assist in payroll processing across various entities as needed.
- Support benefits administration and respond to employee inquiries regarding benefits.
- Maintain accurate HR records and documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies.
- Facilitate audits, reporting, and other HR administrative duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources.
- Proven experience managing full recruitment cycles.
- Preferably skilled in supporting payroll and benefits administration.
- Strong knowledge of HR practices, employment law, and compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational and time management capabilities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Outstanding customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and conflict resolution abilities.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Capability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with HRIS platforms; familiarity with Paylocity, applicant tracking systems, and Greenhouse is advantageous.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Work Schedule
- Regular business hours, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Compensation and Benefits
- Annual salary range of $60,000 to $75,000, dependent on experience.
- 20 paid days off per year plus 10 paid holidays.
