Role Overview

The Associate Resources Business Partner acts as a trusted advisor and resource for restaurant management, delivering daily support for Associate Resources across multiple locations. This role partners with operational teams to encourage associate engagement, standardize leadership approaches, ensure legal compliance, and address employee relations challenges effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and maintain strong relationships with General Managers, Assistant General Managers, and restaurant leaders.
• Serve as the primary Associate Resources liaison for designated restaurant sites.
• Advise managers on performance management, attendance, documentation, corrective actions, and employee relations issues.
• Carry out workplace investigations, prepare summaries, and recommend resolutions.
• Assist with benefits and leave administration, including interactive processes.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and orientation efforts.
• Maintain a consistent presence in assigned restaurants to build rapport with associates and foster an approachable Associate Resources function.
• Respond to associate inquiries about company policies, benefits, and employment practices.
• Conduct Associate Resources training and assist with compliance initiatives.
• Manage confidential Associate Resources records securely.
• Regular travel to various restaurant locations throughout Southern California is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field is preferable.
• At least 3 years of progressive experience in Human Resources.
• Experience working in multi-unit restaurants, hospitality, retail, or other multi-location settings is advantageous.
• Demonstrated knowledge of California employment laws is mandatory.
• Proven experience in conducting employee relations investigations is required.
• Professional certifications such as PHR, SPHR, PHR-CA, or SPHR-CA are preferred.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish are an asset.

Compensation and Equal Opportunity

Salary for this position ranges between $75,000 and $95,000 annually.
