Role Summary
The Human Resources Business Partner role is a contract position based in Austin, TX, blending onsite and remote work. The role involves providing strategic and operational HR support to leadership teams, aiding in workforce planning, employee relations, and performance management. The HR Business Partner will advise managers on HR policies, facilitate coaching on people management, and ensure compliance with employment laws. Contributions to HR initiatives such as policy revision, change management, and employee engagement are essential responsibilities, as is maintaining thorough documentation and utilizing data to guide recommendations.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver strategic and operational HR guidance to leadership and management.
- Collaborate with managers on employee relations issues and workforce planning.
- Coach leaders on effective people-management methods and performance management.
- Support development and implementation of HR policies and change management initiatives.
- Drive employee engagement activities and maintain accurate HR documentation.
- Analyze HR data to provide actionable insights and recommendations.
Qualifications and Experience
- Strong foundational knowledge in Human Resources with creativity in solving organizational challenges.
- Experience in designing and delivering practical learning & development programs, including real-life training scenarios.
- Familiarity with AI technologies relevant to HR, including ability to discern valid applications from ineffective uses.
- Proven technical proficiency in HR technologies and experience implementing HR systems.
- Expertise in performance management processes, including goal alignment, KPIs/OKRs, feedback, and improvement plans.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and consulting capabilities to build trust and maintain accountability.
- Background in strategic HR roles, preferably within dynamic or fast-growing organizations.
- Strong analytical skills with experience using HR metrics to support decision-making.
- A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent experience; experience building companies or HR departments from scratch is preferred.
- Ability to function effectively in a remote/hybrid environment based in Austin, TX, balancing onsite and remote work priorities.
