Job description

Role Overview

The HRIS Analyst will serve as the primary administrator for UKG Pro, overseeing Core HR, Onboarding, People Analytics, Time & Attendance, and Payroll modules supporting a large employee base. This role requires deep expertise in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing the UKG system to align with organizational needs and compliance demands.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the lead UKG Pro system administrator managing various HR modules and ensuring smooth operation for over [X] employees.
  • Configure system settings including security roles, workflows, and business rules to maintain system integrity and regulatory compliance.
  • Design and implement advanced People Analytics dashboards, scheduled reports, and complex queries to provide actionable insights for HR and executive leadership.
  • Architect and audit security frameworks within UKG, managing RBAC, user permissions, and field-specific data protections to secure sensitive information.
  • Manage payroll processing, compliance, and integrations with HR and Payroll HCM systems based on over 3 years of hands-on experience using UKG Pro/UltiPro.
  • Lead system upgrade initiatives, new feature deployments, and end-user training sessions leveraging UKG Pro Certification expertise.
  • Configure and optimize Time & Attendance functions including multi-state pay regulations, shift scheduling, and overtime calculation for a geographically distributed workforce.
  • Develop and maintain leave and accrual policies that comply with various jurisdictional labor laws.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation to enhance HR operational efficiency and data accuracy.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including HR, Payroll, IT, and vendors to deliver effective solutions and promptly resolve issues.
  • Monitor system performance proactively, handle troubleshooting, and coordinate with UKG Support and internal personnel to address system incidents.

Candidate Requirements

  • Proven experience as the main administrator for UKG Pro system modules including Core HR, Payroll, and Time & Attendance.
  • Strong capabilities in UKG Pro configuration, security role management, and workflow/business rule administration.
  • Advanced skills in People Analytics and business intelligence within the UKG environment.
  • Expertise in security architecture principles such as RBAC, user permissions, and data governance.
  • Minimum of 3 years hands-on experience with UKG Pro/UltiPro focusing on Payroll, compliance, and integrations.
  • Possession of UKG Pro Certification with practical application in system upgrades and user training.
  • Knowledge of multi-state labor laws and complex payroll/time attendance calculations.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to work effectively across teams.
