Head of Finance

Role overview

We are looking for a senior finance leader to take ownership of the organization’s financial function in Dubai. This position will steer day-to-day finance operations as well as long-term planning, with a strong focus on reporting quality, budgeting, forecasting, compliance, governance, risk control, and business partnering.

The role calls for someone with solid commercial judgment, hands-on financial management experience, and the ability to turn data into practical recommendations that support decision-making and sustainable growth. It is a leadership opportunity within an expanding organization in the management consulting sector.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements and management reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, then present findings to leadership.
• Own the budgeting cycle, forecasting process, and wider multi-year financial planning activities.
• Track financial results, investigate variances, and recommend actions that can improve performance.
• Make sure all statutory, tax, and internal policy obligations are met without exception.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and manage communication with auditors, tax specialists, and regulators.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, bank relationships, and treasury-related activities.
• Evaluate investment options, financial exposures, and cost-saving opportunities that can strengthen long-term growth.
• Improve accounting workflows, governance practices, and overall financial control environment.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance team while ensuring accuracy, accountability, and prompt delivery.
• Support strategic projects through financial models, business cases, scenario analysis, and other analytical tools.
• Work closely with senior stakeholders to align financial strategy with company goals.
• Maintain the reliability of reporting data and ensure robust internal controls are in place.

Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
• Professional credentials such as CPA, CMA, MBA, or an equivalent qualification are an advantage.
• At least 5 years of relevant finance experience, including 2 years or more in a leadership or managerial position.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, financial planning, accounting standards, reporting requirements, and financial regulations.
• Prior exposure to audits, compliance management, and governance processes.
• Comfort using Microsoft Office and financial systems such as Zoho, QuickBooks, or similar tools.
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving ability, and sound judgment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, stakeholder handling, and leadership skills.
• Experience building financial models, forecasts, and business performance reports.
• Ability to translate financial data into strategic insights that support business growth and operational performance.
