Overview
This senior leadership role focuses on spearheading the company’s business development efforts by establishing and nurturing strategic partnerships aimed at accelerating growth. The role also entails overseeing customer acquisition for the company's product, including owning the overall sales and marketing strategy while collaborating closely with executive leadership to drive expansion initiatives.
Key Duties
- Identify and cultivate business alliances that are strategically aligned to support company growth objectives.
- Manage communications and relationships with partners through to successful deal closure.
- Lead market initiatives to acquire new clients and customers for the company’s product offerings.
- Develop scalable and repeatable sales processes along with effective pitch methodologies.
- Recruit, train, and oversee a sales and business development team to scale operations effectively.
- Set and define sales and marketing strategies including channel selection, targeting, and campaign planning.
- Create detailed growth plans with timelines ranging from 3 to 12 months.
- Maintain management information systems and dashboards using advanced Excel functionalities to monitor partner and client pipelines.
- Ensure alignment of outreach strategies with current marketing activities.
Experience and Qualifications
- 8 to 15 years of core sales experience, preferably within mutual funds, insurance, wealth management, PMS/AIF sectors or business development in high-growth startups.
- Proven history of successfully closing high-value financial or business deals.
- An established network of High Net Worth Individuals (HNIs) or business contacts is highly advantageous.
- Demonstrated adaptability and effectiveness in a startup or growth stage corporate environment.
