Key Responsibilities

• Identify and research grant opportunities aligned with organisational priorities, managing a calendar and pipeline to ensure timely submissions.
• Create persuasive and high-quality grant proposals that communicate Foodbank Victoria’s mission effectively.
• Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data, budgets, and project plans for application support.
• Partner proactively with various teams to explore program and funding opportunities.
• Manage the full grants lifecycle including tracking progress, record keeping, compliance, coordination of deliverables, and adherence to reporting deadlines.
• Prepare and submit accurate funding reports and acquittals, monitor grant outcomes, and provide insights for continuous improvement.
• Maintain and build strong relationships with funders and donors, representing the organisation at meetings and networking events.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 3 years of grant writing experience, preferably within the nonprofit sector.
• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, English, Nonprofit Management or a related discipline is highly valued.
• Proven experience managing grant applications and associated deliverables including government grants and acquittals.
• Knowledge of the food relief sector and relevant funding sources is a plus.
• Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills to work across diverse teams.
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously, strong organisational skills, keen attention to detail, and solid research capabilities.
