About the Role
Radisson Hotel Group is a global hospitality company with ten distinct hotel brands and more than 1,500 hotels already operating or under development across 95+ countries. Its service philosophy is built around the promise “Every Moment Matters” and the “Yes I Can!” mindset.
The company places people at the centre of its success and aims to create an environment where team members can do their best work while delivering memorable stays for guests.
Role Overview
The organization is hiring a General Manager for its Radisson Collection Hotel & Conference Center in Abuja, Nigeria. This role is suited to someone who brings more than just experience on paper—someone with the right attitude, leadership ability, and a strong commitment to hospitality.
As General Manager, you will lead the hotel’s daily functioning, guide the team, and ensure the property performs successfully. You will also serve as a visible representative of the Radisson brand for both guests and employees.
Key Responsibilities
You will oversee the hotel’s financial and operational performance, manage a large and varied workforce, and help the business run smoothly and profitably. You will also ensure the property reflects brand standards while consistently meeting or surpassing guest expectations.
In this role, you will communicate and implement company strategy, strengthen coordination between the central team and owners, and work closely with department heads to unlock business opportunities, protect the brand reputation, and maintain compliance with legal and due diligence requirements. You will also be responsible for managing the hotel budget.
Requirements and Qualifications
Applicants should have experience in hotel management or another relevant field. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities are important, along with a strategic mindset, problem-solving capability, and genuine enthusiasm for hospitality.
You should be comfortable balancing operational execution with a broader focus on guest experience, revenue growth, and commercial performance. Experience in a comparable role is helpful but not mandatory.
The role reports to the District Director Nigeria and/or the Managing Director for Sub-Sahara Africa.
Preferred Attributes
The company is looking for someone who is flexible, positive, detail-oriented, and creative in solving problems. You should enjoy teamwork, be passionate about outstanding service, communicate clearly, and bring a sense of fun to work.
Additional value will come from MICE and sales experience in the Nigerian market, and experience working in a resort setting is considered an advantage. English proficiency is required.
Additional Information
Radisson Hotel Group offers an inclusive and supportive culture, with opportunities to learn, grow, and build a long-term career in hospitality. The company highlights team spirit, diversity, belonging, and the chance to make an impact through your ideas and ambition.
Perks and Benefits
Team members can access special hotel rates worldwide, including up to 53% off stays at more than 1,500 Radisson Hotels. Friends and family receive a guaranteed minimum discount of 30%.
Additional savings are available on breakfast, food and beverage, spa services, and more. Local perks and rewards may also apply depending on the country.
Equal Opportunity
Applicants from all backgrounds, abilities, and experiences are encouraged to apply. Adjustments during the application process can be requested if needed.
