Full-Time Food Service Utility Worker

About the Role

Morrison Healthcare, a subsidiary of Compass Healthcare and a long-standing partner to health systems nationwide, is seeking to fill full-time Food Service Utility positions at UF Shands Gainesville. This opportunity allows you to contribute meaningfully to patient care and community wellbeing by helping maintain a high standard of cleanliness and operational efficiency in food service environments.

Job Responsibilities

• Keep kitchen floors clean by sweeping and mopping to meet safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Clean worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other surfaces used for food preparation.
• Manage waste by removing trash, steam cleaning or hosing down garbage containers.
• Transport supplies and equipment between storage and preparation areas.
• Assist in setting up banquet tables and supporting front-of-house preparations.
• Help with loading, unloading, and delivering supplies and products as needed.
• Distribute utensils, portable equipment, and other materials efficiently.
• Maintain strict adherence to sanitation and safety protocols.
• Perform additional related duties as required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years prior experience in a utility role within food service.

Compensation and Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay ranging from $16.00 to $19.00 per hour.
