Role Overview

Join Neon’s finance team amid rapid expansion in the gaming fintech space that processes transactions across various markets. You will collaborate directly with leadership to transform multifaceted business data into financial models, forecasts, and reports that inform strategic decisions. This early-career opportunity offers broad exposure beyond typical variance reporting, covering areas such as revenue recognition, unit economics, and board reporting with substantial ownership from the start.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain detailed financial models that include metrics like revenue, gross merchandise volume, take rate, and operating costs.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities using driver-based and rolling forecast methodologies.
• Analyze financial effects of factors such as pricing adjustments, entry into new markets, and product initiatives.
• Manage monthly management reporting including variance analysis, KPI tracking, and providing contextual insights.
• Collaborate on preparing board reports and investor-facing documents in partnership with finance leadership.
• Work with Customer Success and Sales teams on unit economics evaluations and deal structure modeling.
• Deliver ad hoc analyses concerning pricing strategies, geographic expansion, and expense reduction.
• Convert complex data from various sources into clear insights to support decision-making.
• Support reconciliation processes for multiple payment service providers and assist with month-end financial closing.
• Contribute to the design of scalable processes and financial controls during organizational growth.
• Assist in data preparation and ensure accuracy across multiple financial systems.
• Engage in miscellaneous finance projects including tax compliance across jurisdictions, treasury operations, equity management, and accounts payable/receivable.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately two years of experience in finance disciplines such as investment banking, FP&A, or corporate finance, with a preference for banking backgrounds.
• Proficient in advanced Excel functions and financial modeling, with the ability to handle large and imperfect datasets.
• Excellent communicator capable of translating complex financial information for stakeholders without finance expertise.
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, demonstrating the capability to independently manage recurring deliverables.

Desirable Qualifications

• Experience or interest in fintech, payments, or e-commerce infrastructure sectors.
• Relevant background or enthusiasm for gaming industry economics, including monetization and LiveOps.
• Knowledge of Merchant of Record frameworks, tax/VAT/GST issues, or financial operations spanning multiple jurisdictions.

Compensation

The salary range for this position is between $100,000 and $115,000 per year.
