Job Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical FP&A Analyst to join our expanding team in London. This role involves close interaction with complex data across financial planning, cash management, and business partnering activities. The position requires transforming extensive datasets into actionable insights that influence key financial and operational decisions in our fast-growing electric vehicle leasing business.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and refine short- and long-term cash flow forecasts including 3-statement financial modeling.
• Monitor cash positions related to diverse funding sources and operational activities.
• Develop, optimize, and manage SQL queries within Databricks to extract and process large operational datasets while ensuring data quality by identifying and documenting inconsistencies.
• Perform variance analysis comparing actual performance against budgets, and develop FP&A dashboards that are accurate and tailored to business needs.
• Create ad hoc financial analyses for senior leadership, connecting financial data to strategic commercial outcomes.
• Collaborate with Technology and Product teams to enhance data infrastructure, translating financial requirements into clear technical briefs to improve forecast accuracy and scalability.

Candidate Profile

• 1-2 years of professional experience in FP&A, commercial finance, data analytics, or related analytical roles; candidates pursuing ACCA, CIMA, or ACA qualifications are preferred.
• Strong proficiency in SQL query writing and advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets for constructing detailed financial models.
• Experience with data visualization platforms such as Databricks, Power BI, Looker, or Python programming is advantageous.
• Excellent analytical abilities with a high level of precision, capable of identifying discrepancies and understanding the relationships between P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
• Ability to work effectively with incomplete or imperfect data, assess its significance, and communicate limitations clearly to stakeholders.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal, especially in translating complex financial information to non-technical audiences.
• A genuine commitment to applying financial expertise towards combating climate change and supporting the company's mission.
