Role Overview

We seek our inaugural recruiter to establish and lead our talent acquisition engine. This hands-on position involves building the foundational recruiting infrastructure, managing sourcing pipelines, and overseeing recruitment operations. You will work closely with the company founders and founding engineers to attract outstanding technical talent, develop scalable recruiting processes, and foster a hiring culture reflecting our core values of technical rigor, excellence, and ambition.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Rapidly source exceptional candidates by deeply understanding our hiring profiles to populate a strong talent funnel in New York and London markets.
  • Drive early-stage hiring efforts by collaborating with founders and hiring managers to onboard world-class engineers and technical specialists across various disciplines.
  • Design and deploy recruiting infrastructure from the ground up, including Applicant Tracking System (ATS) implementation (Ashby), sourcing/CRM platforms, interview workflows, and candidate experience optimization.
  • Manage recruitment operations to maintain momentum in the hiring process and ensure swift, smooth transitions from introduction through offer acceptance.
  • Develop scalable recruiting strategies, leveraging AI tools to augment impact before expanding team size.
  • Effectively communicate our mission and opportunity to candidates, inspiring enthusiasm at every stage of engagement.
  • Define early talent acquisition philosophies, establishing a consistent, fair, and exacting interview process that balances speed with quality and strengthens our employer brand.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of four years of professional recruiting experience, ideally with exposure to sourcing and recruiting technical talent for elite technology organizations in both U.S. and U.K. markets.
  • Strong technical understanding, preferably with a computer science background, enabling effective recruitment and evaluation of complex engineering roles.
  • Proven expertise in conducting thorough candidate interviews to ensure interaction with only the most qualified engineers.
  • A builder’s mentality demonstrated by experience creating or revamping recruiting systems, workflows, and teams from the ground up.
  • Demonstrated operational skills in running recruitment processes and implementing tools to support and scale recruiting functions.

Compensation and Benefits

The total package includes a base salary ranging from $180,000 to $210,000 annually, complemented by bonus potential and equity participation.
