Role Purpose
This role centers on developing a specified territory, as outlined by the Area Sales Manager in cooperation with the SME Sales Manager. The incumbent holds complete accountability for sales results, debt, margin, and overall profitability within their territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Achieve and surpass set sales, profit, and margin objectives across the Marketplace among diverse customer segments.
- Expand the territory by effectively managing prospective customer lists and securing new business.
- Promote growth by increasing product range penetration with existing clients.
- Ensure all customer accounts comply with Musgrave MarketPlace’s established credit policies.
- Oversee customer contracts, including pricing and product range, aiming to optimize profitability.
- Deliver exceptional customer service via accurate communication and efficient administrative practices.
- Provide detailed insights on competitor activity and other relevant field intelligence to Area Sales Managers, General Managers, and broader teams.
- Maintain appropriate product assortment in each client account to maximize profitability.
- Collaborate fully with all sales roles, such as Area Sales Managers and Floor Managers, to boost territory performance.
- Lead sales efforts for Hamper & Corporate gifting in the branch by engaging Gold and Silver customers to secure repeat sales and unearth new business opportunities.
- Complete all necessary administrative duties, including journey planning, daily sales reporting, record keeping, and prospect management.

Candidate Profile
- Good understanding of Foodservice, SME, and Retail customer segments.
- Strong sales networking skills within relevant communities.
- Experience or knowledge in the food industry or direct foodservice sales, including familiarity with competitors, product ranges, and customer dynamics.
- Proven success in proactive field sales with consistent achievement of targets.
- Professional selling capabilities and a strong customer focus.
- Commercial awareness and sound administrative, planning, and time management skills.
- Forward-thinking disposition with the ability to work independently and take initiative.
- A positive, can-do attitude combined with flexibility and adaptability to change.
- Minimum education: Leaving Certificate / GCSE.
- Possession of a full clean driving license.
