Job description
Position Overview
The Food and Consumables Team Associate role at Walmart Canada is centered on delivering outstanding customer service aligned with Walmart's core values. The associate manages the food and consumables section ensuring its organization, product availability, and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Organize and zone the department ensuring shelves, tables, and storage areas are orderly and products are placed correctly.
- Perform stock rotation and check for expired items to maintain product quality.
- Ensure all merchandise is accurately priced and clearly labeled.
- Comply with cold chain standards, including thermometer calibration, temperature monitoring, food handling, product rotation, and adherence to sell-by and expiration dates.
- Follow all procedures for ordering, clearance processes, price adjustments, and proper signage and labeling.
Compensation
The starting hourly wage for this position is $17.75 CAD.
