Finance Business Partner

Role Overview

This contract position calls for a seasoned Finance Business Partner to collaborate closely with senior management in Wellington, New Zealand. The successful candidate will influence strategic decision-making, boost organizational financial performance, and enhance outcomes across the enterprise over a fixed six-month period.

Key Duties

• Partner with senior leadership on strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and guiding decisions.
• Deliver high-quality financial analysis, reporting, and insights to elevate performance and support strategic goals.
• Assist in business case development, budget requests, and investment planning frameworks.
• Evaluate business initiatives to uncover financial risks and opportunities.
• Promote continuous process improvements and help strengthen finance capabilities within the organization.

Candidate Profile

• Hold a tertiary qualification in Accounting or Finance accompanied by a CA qualification or a recognized equivalent.
• Possess extensive finance business partnering experience within large and complex organizations.
• Display excellent stakeholder engagement and the ability to build trust with senior leaders.
• Demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with a talent for converting intricate financial data into understandable business insights.
• Experience within government sectors will be considered advantageous.

Additional Information

The role offers a remuneration range of approximately NZD 140,000 to 150,000 for a six-month fixed term. Applicants must currently live in New Zealand and be either a NZ Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid NZ work visa.
