Overview
Join a driven and inclusive high-performing team as an Executive Assistant supporting the Senior Vice President (SVP) and Chief Information Officer (CIO) of Global Banking and Markets and Wealth Technology. This role is pivotal in enabling the execution of key initiatives and business objectives while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sophisticated administrative support to SVP and Vice Presidents, demonstrating discretion, confidentiality, and a strong grasp of both technical and business language, as well as organizational procedures and personnel.
- Promote a client-centric culture by enhancing relationships and utilizing extensive knowledge of banking systems and policies, including escalating concerns as necessary.
- Manage expense-related operations such as budget tracking, reconciliation, and financial reporting in collaboration with finance teams, providing transparent updates and variance explanations to leadership.
- Review and authorize standard expenditures to maintain compliance with budgetary limits, handling monthly variance analyses and acting as the liaison for departmental initiatives.
- Coordinate calendar schedules and travel arrangements efficiently.
- Compile, verify, and analyze information required for executive communications including memos, reports, presentations, and official correspondence, exercising independent judgment and confidentiality.
- Contribute to process improvements and adhere to globally applied administrative policies.
- Identify, resolve, and escalate administrative challenges using professional discretion.
- Build effective business relationships through professional and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.
- Foster an inclusive, high-performance atmosphere by communicating vision, values, and strategies across the teams.
- Ensure operational risk, regulatory compliance, anti-money laundering, and conduct risk controls are effectively managed, in line with relevant frameworks and guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- Post-secondary education in business administration or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
- Five to seven years of experience providing executive-level business administration support.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and strong technical skills.
- Exceptional organizational, time management, and prioritization capabilities.
- Strong attention to detail, resourcefulness, and accountability in follow-ups.
- Independent decision-making with a proactive problem-solving orientation.
- Effective oral and written communication skills suitable for all organizational levels.
- Adaptability and resilience to change with a rapid learning curve.
- Ability to handle sensitive information and tight deadlines with professionalism.
- A commitment to delivering a positive and proactive experience for others.
