Overview
Nottingham City Transport is seeking a dedicated Engineering Support team member to join their night shift operation at the Parliament Street Garage in Nottingham. This position offers a hands-on role with stable hours, competitive pay, and a chance to contribute to the smooth running of a well-known transport company.
Key Responsibilities
- Thoroughly clean both interior and exterior of buses to a high standard.
- Drive, refuel, and park company vehicles as required during shifts.
- Identify and report any damages, defects, or faults on vehicles promptly.
- Collect, document, and hand over any lost property found on buses.
- Perform basic vehicle inspections including checking fluid levels and re-torquing wheels when necessary.
- Support vehicle changes and assist during breakdown situations.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of equipment and work areas.
- Adhere strictly to Health & Safety guidelines and participate in required training sessions.

Candidate Profile
- Possession of a PCV licence is required; alternatively, a shunting licence with a commitment to obtain a PCV licence within twelve months.
- Strong communication skills.
- Enjoyment of practical and manual duties with a focus on maintaining high standards.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Flexibility to comply with rota-based working hours.
- Basic proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Legal eligibility to work in the United Kingdom.
- Willingness to complete a pre-employment medical examination.
